Our Gibraltar team raise funds and awareness each year at the Flat Rock annual 24 hour Relay for Life event in May. Our goal is to honor and remember our friends by purchasing the $10.00 luminaries and walk during the luminary lighting. We invite everyone to join us. April 25 – 26 - Gibraltar Youth 30 hour Fast for Hunger Awareness
This is the 3rd year the youth group have participated In the World Hunger Awareness program. The youth gather for a lock-in at the church to heighten their awareness of the needs of others. Last year they focused on making 29,000 paper loop chain to demonstrate the awareness of how large the number of people dying of hunger related illnesses a day is. This year the y are collecting 29,000 pennies. They will use this money for their adopted child thru World Vision. For more information contact PastorTerry@fccgibraltar.com |
